George McConnell, 92, of Tampa, Florida passed away June 10, 2011 at University Community Hospital, Tampa. George was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, he served with the British Royal Navy during World War II and retired as Chief Petty Officer. He was a resident of Florida since March 1996 coming from Roslyn, Pennsylvania. George is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Col Bruce McConnell, USAF (Ret) and Shirley McConnell of Tampa. A memorial service will take place at a later date in Huntington Valley, Pennsylvania.
