George F. Waters of Lutz, FL. went to home to be with the Lord on December 12, 2010, under the loving care of family and LifePath Hospice. George was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who will always be remembered for his integrity, faithfulness, and sense of humor. He was a very dedicated and hardworking person, who loved being in sales within the foodbroker/grocery business. He was the consumate professional and family man, and will be greatly missed. He and his wife loved living 6 months out of the year in the North Carolina mountains enjoying the beauty and serenity that surrounded them.He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mattie Leigh, son, Rev. Merritt A.Waters; daughter, Georgia Leigh Rice (Kim);
4 grandchildren, Kristi (Craig), Tabatha, Kyle (Becky), and Kimberleigh (Kelly); and 4 great-grandchildren, Andrew, Ryan, Sean, and Cevan. He was preceded in death by his father, Merritt Clark, his mother, Millicent Clark, and his brother Jack Waters (Marzilla). A memorial service will take place at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 21, at Riverview First United Methodist Church, 8002 US Hwy 301 South in Riverview.
