Beloved Geraldine Dorothy Kelly, age 85, of Tampa, Florida, passed away March 20, 2018 surrounded by all her loving children. Gerri was born in Bronx, New York on Valentines Day in 1933. Geraldine and husband Thomas Came to Tampa in 1959, after a stay in Dunbar, West Virginia, from Edgewater New York. Geraldine worked for Incarnation Catholic School as a school secretary for 30 years. An ideal profession, her devotion to children enhanced many students lives. Geraldine's maternal instinct and leadership talent earned her respect and admiration from students and staff alike. Her genuine care for each student was demonstrated in her ability to know every student by name. To this day, she's fondly remembered and loved by her former ICS family. She was born a Roman Catholic and was the daughter of Raymond and Madelyn Hellthaler.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas Christopher Kelly, her childhood sweetheart and life long true love. Also by first born son Thomas Christopher.

Geraldine is survived by 4 children,Susan Dennison (David), James Kelly (Cindy), Barbara Horne and Madelyn Olson (Chuck); 4 grandchildren, Erin Lyn Wilson, Richard Thomas Horne, John Thomas Kelly and Angela May Horne; 3 great grandchildren, Chase Calvin Horne, Ryder Allen Mruk and Carlee Gracelyn Horne, all living locally in Tampa, Fl

Geraldine's passion for life and knowledge, her sense of humor, and devout Faith in God kept her joyful. Her home was filled with love and laughter. Kelly dogs were constant companions. Her children's friends all had a second mom, "Mom Kelly." Her grandchildren's friends, a "grandma Kelly". Gerri was delighted to be a mother to anyone in need.Her hobbies included crocheting, reading mysteries, listening to Irish music and word puzzles. Geraldine found pleasure in the simple ordinary things.

Her biggest love in life was and will always be her family, her many friends and her animals. She was adored by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A memorial Mass will be held in her honor at Incarnation Catholic Church in Tampa on Thursday, April 5th at 6 p.m.

Geraldine's favorite charities include the Humane Society, and St. Judes. Any donations made in her honor would be a blessing.
