Gertrude "Trudy" Louise Sigrist Levin, 87, peacefully passed away at home on July 17, 2015 in Tampa.Trudy courageously overcame childhood polio to live a full and active life.She was born in New York City, lived in Germany, France, Louisiana, Kansas, Ohio, Illinois and made Florida home since 1965.Trudy shared 66 years of love, life and family with her husband Edwin Francis Levin.Trudy was a local real estate agent, investor and remodeler.She loved to travel, collect and refurbish antiques, and garden.She instilled the thirst for knowledge and creativity in her children and grandchildren.Her wit an energy were admired by all.Trudy thanks all her friends, family and caregivers that have helped in her final years, with special thanks to her daughter, Katie.She is survived by her husband, Edwin; son, Thomas and wife, Patricia; daughter, Kathleen Liffiton and husband, Donald; grandchildren, Joseph, Brett, Christopher, Max and Brittany; and great grandsons, Zachary and Nathan.Funeral services will be held at MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N. Florida Ave., Tampa on July 23, Thursday at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow atFlorida National Cemetery.
