Gertrude Rhode went peacefully to be with her Lord at her home.

Gertrude was a devoted Catholic who was a member Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She retired after a lengthy career with the State of Florida. She loved hosting family holidays, and annually made her famous Christmas cookies. She made every visit with grandchildren and great grandchildren adventurous and uniquely memorable.

Survived by children John (Beverly), Amy (Jerry), Donald, Virginia (Randall), Laura; grandchildren Rayna, Leigh, Heather, Nicole, Erik, Michael, Erika and Denver; great grandchildren Calleigh, Benjamin, Sofia, Gentry, Olivia, Troy and Kruen; and sister Virginia.

Preceded in death by beloved husband Raymond, son Raymond; parents Helen and John; siblings Harold, Thomas, John, David, Ruth, Marie, Helen, Geraldine, Elizabeth, Catherine, Barbara and Florence; and great grandson Kristopher.

Our family would like to thank her companion Rita, LifePath Hospice and Golden Senior Private Care for the loving comfort they provided.

Services will be held at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church on Monday, November 29th, viewing at 10 am, funeral Mass at 11 am, followed by interment at Garden of Memories.
