Mr. Glannis O. Howell, 79, of Tampa died December 9, 2008. A native of Snow Hill NC, he moved to Tampa in 1958. He was a retired banker, a member of Northgate Baptist Church and a veteran of the Korean War. He was predeceased by his parents, Turner & Carrie Radford Howell, his loving wife of 51 years, Lillian and his younger brother Malcolm. He is survived by his son, Rick, daughter-in-law, Debbie; two adored grandchildren, Breanna and Ethan, all of Bradenton; a brother, Wayne Howell, and a sister, Wilma H. Oakes both of Snow Hill NC. A celebration of his life will be held 11AM Friday December 12th at the chapel of MacDonald Funeral Home 10520 N Florida Ave, Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Samaritan Counseling Services of the Gulf Coast (941) 926-2959
