Harold Albert Laird Jr, age 75, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Advent Health Tampa. From his birth in Dubois Pennsylvania, August 8, 1946 to his Death that Monday he lived a Life of Service, to his Family, His Country and his Community. Harold joined the Marines in his early 20's and in 1971 he joined the Army making a career as a Warrant Officer 4, Flight instructor and Pilot. He Served 2 Tours in Vietnam gaining distinguished medals: Bronze medal, purple heart, Meritorious Service Medal, Master Army Aviator Badge just to name a few and later retired as a W-4.

Following his Military Service, he went on to serve his community as a Police Officer, later to move to Florida where he was a Sheriff Deputy Pilot. Harold went back to the adventures of flying as a Lifeguard pilot for Providence Hospital, then with Evergreen International, later for United Nations where he was a chief pilot and lastly for Air Logistics with the oil rigs.

After his retirement, he served his community in various other ways. He loved spending time with his Grandkids, traveling with his Wife. He also Enjoyed going hunting and fishing and had quite a Green Thumb for plants as well as homing caterpillars until they turned into butterflies. Harold lived an adventurous life to say the least.

He is Preceded in death by his Father Harold Albert Laird and Mother Grace McCafferty.

He is survived by his loving wife Joan Marie Laird; Step-Son Joseph Jones and daughters Christina Laird-Beach, and Amanda Long along with Grandchildren Parks, Jason and Elle Long; Brothers David, Jon and Michael Laird and Sister Amanda Weber

His Celebration of Life Will be held onSaturday January 29, 2022 at 4pm at the American Legion Post 111, 6918 N Florida Ave, Tampa, FL 33604
