Mr. Harold Dennis (Pop) Peavey, Sr., 67, of Tampa went home to be with the Lord on April 4, 2005. He was at home surrounded by his wife, son, daughter, brother, and a host of family & friends. He was a member & deacon of West Broad Street Baptist Church. Harold retired from 7-11 after 25 years of service. He then started his own business in 1986, Peavey Hosiery. Harold loved to sing Gospel Music and shared his beautiful voice at many area churches. He adored his family. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Irma; sons, Dennis (T), and Darren; daughter, Denise Peavey Chambers (Jeff); brother, Johnny Peavey (Shirly); grandsons, Travis and Dustin Chambers; granddaughter, Jennifer Harris; great granddaughter Autumn Harris; and numerous other family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, April 7, 2005at West Broad Street Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends Thursday at the church one hour prior to service. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to LifePath Hospice.
