Henry N.
Black
Sep 23, 1919 — Apr 27, 2006
Henry N. Black, 86, passed away Thursday night, April 27, 2006. He enjoyed a long, successful life in everything he undertook, accomplishing his goal by sheer determination and always a positive attitude. He was among the top fifteen most productive sales representative for Southland Life Insurance Company for all of the thirty-nine years before he retired. The next twenty-four years he was just a plain happy cattleman on his beloved farm on W.P. Lane off Hwy 301. Between these two careers he was a member of the Hillsborough County Park Board and his name is prominently displayed at several large parks. He is survived by his wife, F.M. Terry Black; sister, Elizabeth (Betty)Hancock; son, Charles N. Black; daughter, Carliss Blake; step-daughter, Catherine Gibson; step-son, C.F. Terry; grandchildren, Tammy White, Joseph Blake and Nicole Gibson; great grandchildren Candice Stevens and Amber White. He loved his family so very much including many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was happiest when he had everyone together at dinners, cookouts and parties, so to continue his routine, the family will receive friends Thursday, May 4, 2006 at Six Mile Creek Baptist Church, from 2PM until service time at 3:00PM, Rev Jay Lippy and Ted Harrell to officiate. Following the service there will be a combination celebration in the church social hall, everyone is invited. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to LifePath Hospice, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center or to your church.
