Mrs. Irene V. Alex, 61, of Tampa, FL passed away on Friday, Sept. 5th following a brief illness. She was born on June 26, 1947 in Saginaw, MI.  Irene was a registered nurse at Saginaw Community Hospital for many years.  In 1990, Irene moved to Tampa, Florida enjoying her time by the water.  Irene was very proud of both her children, and enjoyed telling everyone she encountered about her precious grandchildren.  She is survived by children, Jim (Trudy) Alex of Lutz, FL and Jennifer (John) Nowosatka of Saginaw, MI; 3 grandchildren, Alia Alex, Lauren and Connor Nowosatka.  A memorial service will be conducted 2 PM Monday, Sept 8th at the chapel of MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 North Florida Ave, Tampa.  Her remains will be cremated.  Memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of her daughter and daughter in law.
