Mrs. Irene Cruz, 71, of Wesley Chapel, Florida passed away August 24, 2012. She was born in Isabela, Puerto Rico, a retired teacher and a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. Irene is survived by her son, Mark Cruz (Andrea); daughters, Camille Cruz and Crystal Cruz, all of Wesley Chapel, Florida; her father, Segundo Garcia of California; grandchildren, Cassandra Airiana Jones, Anthony Cruz, Jr., Jordan Ciarra Thomas, Marissa Cruz and Michael Isiah Thomas; and brothers and sisters, Gladys Garcia-Roman Rivera, Elba Garcia-Roman Delgado, Antonio Garcia-Roman, Elsie Garcia-Roman Ramos, Segundo Garcia-Caban, Ebenezer Garcia-Caban, Madeline Garcia-Salgado, Maria Esther Garcia-Salgado Fikri, Tirsa Margarita Garcia-Salgado Figueroa and Eliut Segundo Garcia-Salgado. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Wednesday at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9724 Cross Creek Blvd, Tampa, FL 33647. Interment to follow. The family will receive friends Tuesday for 2 - 4 P.M. & 6 - 8 P.M. at MacDonald Funeral Home.
