James E. Allan, 87, of Tampa passed from this life on July 11, 2015. Jim was born in Fairmont, W.V. in 1927. On July 10, 1947, he married Roxie Jane Fleming, who preceded him in death in 1988. Together they had five children. Their youngest, Cheryl Jeannine Morris, died in 1995. She was the mother to three sons, Russell, Daniel and Thomas. Jim is also survived by four sons and their families: James Edward Jr, his wife, Carlene, and their daughter, Jennifer. Martin Douglass, his wife, Joyce, and their children, Ben, Katie Roberts, and Carolyn Canini. Ronald Dale, his wife, Jeannie,and their children, Becky Stout, RD, Ethan, John, and Justin. Dennis Gordon, his wife, Benita, and their children, Heather, Megan Pinto, and Joshua. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren. In marrying Edna Margaret in 1997, who survives him, Jim gained two more sons, Jerry and Jimmy Paschall, along with their wives and Edna Margaret's six grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. A photographer and printer by trade, Jim worked in several print shops in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida. In his more recent years, he worked in the mail room at Florida College. Throughout his life, Jim was very active as a Bible class teacher in several local churches, most recently serving as an elder in the Seffner church of Christ. The family will receive friends Friday, July 17th from 6-8 pm at MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N Florida Ave, Tampa. Funeral service will take place 10 AM Saturday at the MacDonald Funeral Home. Interment to follow at 2:30 PM at Glen Haven Cemetery in Orlando, Florida.
