Obituary

James Edward Brown, 58, of Tampa, FL passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on the night of March, 5, 2016 after a yearlong battle with Stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma. James was from the small town of Mansfield, Ohio and joined the USAF shortly after high school. His time in the service took him many places and led him to his final military station at MacDill AFB. It was there that he decided that he would settle and live the rest of his life in the Tampa Bay area. After the military he worked for USPS and later left the post office to pursue his own business. He operated a small freelance handyman business where he worked with people he cared about in the community and let everyone know that "no job was too small". A humble man from humble beginnings, he had a strong work ethic and a generous soul. He would never hesitate to make sure that you knew that you were special and loved with a warm hug and a bright smile. He is survived by his sons, Edgar Brown, Ferdinand Brown, Julian Brown, and all of his friends which he considered family. He brought incredible joy and memorable moments to the ones around him. The warmth of his kindness, soft reassuring voice, and gentle spirit will be sorely missed.
