Mr.James O. Whitman, 58, of Clearwater, Floridapassed away Tuesday, Oct 11, 2005 at his residence. He served with the US Army, 82nd Airborne and fought during Vietnam. He enjoyed working as a handyman, and always took pride in his work and helping others. He was a graduate of Largo High School and was a member of First Assembly of God, Clearwater. He is survived by his daughters, Gina Taylor of Gainesville, Georgia and Teri Whitman of Tampa; son, Jimmy Whitman of Brandon, Fl; brother, Larry Whitman of Brooksville, FL and sister Becky Gargiulo of Largo, FL. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 17, 2005 from 10:30-11:30 AM at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at Florida National Cemetery with military honors at 1:00 PM Monday, October 17, 2005.
