Jamey Elaine Dalton, nee Hiers, age 67, of Tampa, passed away June 16, 2014. Loving daughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, she was born in Moultrie, GA. She retired from Hillsborough County School System, worked at Busch Gardens, and several bakeries, as she loved baking sweet treats. She provided care to many family members. She is survived by three children, Debra Elaine of Tampa, Darren Eugene and partner, Don Grobe of San Antonio, TX, and DyAnn Elizabeth of Tampa; five grandchildren, Meredith, Lauren, Madison, Jaxon, & Kennedy; one great-grandson, Hunter; brothers and sisters Ann English, James Hiers (Pat), Roger Hiers (Corine), Fran Scott (David), Donnie Hiers (Liz), Terry Hiers, and Sherry Klawiter (Kirby). She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frederick Eugene Dalton; her parents, Raymond and Laura Leoma Hiers; sister Shirley Hiers, and brother Richard Hiers. Services planned Friday, June 20, at 3:30 pm, Oak Grove Church of God, 6830 North Habana Ave, Tampa. The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff at Florida Hospital Carrollwood and Pastor Denny Huebner. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the Oak Grove Church of God or a charity of your choice.
