Janice Sue Morgan passed away unexpectedly on Friday August 25, 2017. Formerly from Lower Burrell, PA, she resided in Tampa, Florida for most of her adult life. She was a graduate of Burrell High School.Post-secondary education included graduating from Penn State University with a degree in Ceramic Engineering and study of Industrial Engineering at University of South Florida. She was employed by Pomeroy IT Solutions.Inc., in Tampa with previous work at the Moffitt Cancer Center and St. Petersburg Times. Janice was an avid runner, swimmer and very health-conscious. An artist at heart, she loved to draw, paint, sew and play the piano. She utilized her many skills at interior decorating (and re-decorating) with home repair, in her own home as well as others. She had a personal commitment to help those in need and was known to go the "extra mile." Her analytical skills and love of problem-solving were always apparent. She was pre-deceased by both parents, John J. and Ann S. Morgan. She is survived by sisters Joyce Layton(David), Jupiter , FL. and Judith Morgan, Lower Burrell, PA; brother Gregg Morgan(Beth),Woodstock, GA and five nephews, Jordan and Carter Layton; Scott, Brad and Matthew Morgan; an uncle, Donald Morgan, Tarentum, PA; an aunt, Wilma (Richard) Micholas, Erie, PA and numerous cousins (with special acknowledgement of cousin Karen(Pete) Link, Erie, PA and cousin Doug Marencik, Lower Burrell, PA) She also leaves to be remembered by uncle, John Engler, Lower Burrell, PA and aunt, Joan Gaydos, Southport, NC. A Memorial Mass to celebrate her life will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church in Lower Burrell, PA at 1 PM on Friday September 1, 2017 with interment at Greenwood Memorial Mausoleum, Lower Burrell, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to local homeless shelters or the Humane Society of Tampa.
