Obituary
Jeffrey Showen, 57, of Valrico, FL, formerly from South Charleston WV, went to be with the Lord Monday, 5/13/19, doing what he loved, riding his motorcycle.
Jeff was born 7/30/1961 in Orange, California and adopted by Gene and Mildred Showen at 6 months of age. His family moved home to South Charleston, WV where Jeff graduated from South Charleston High. He is an alumnus of Colorado State University and Arizona State University.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son, Ian Showen, of Tampa, FL; brother, Marc (Teresa) of Charleston, WV; niece, Crystal Ragland (William) of Charleston WV, nephew, Marc II (Tabitha) of Hanover, PA, niece, Terri Hudson of Charleston WV, and many spiritual brothers and sisters.
Jeff, proudly served in the USAF and continued serving his military family while employed at iGov TACLAN and the Tampa VA. He had a passion for learning, earning masters degrees in systems engineering and business administration, and a great love of motorcycles.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1 pm Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Free Rider Fellowship, 2207 Mud Lake Rd, Plant City, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Disabled American Veterans.
