Jerry Johnson, 62, passed peacefully surrounded by family on June 23, 2019. Jerry had a very successful career as an Emmy award winning sportscaster at Channel 10. He has recently been enjoying retirement by writing books and helping produce various television shows. Jerry was a loving father, friend, teacher, talented musician, songwriter, lover of the outdoors and his favorite thing on planet earth was auto racing of any kind. Jerry had a huge heart and easily made new friends everywhere he went. Jerry is survived by his mother Lula, father Kenneth, brother David, mother of their children Elizabeth (Lisa), three children Alexandra, Nicholas and Jeremy (Angela), grandchildren Maximus, Spencer, Luke and Jett and countless amazing friends.
Please remember and honor Jerry by enjoying a beautiful sunset and listen to the water "sizzle" as he would frequently tell his children, as it sets.
