Obituary

Mrs. Joan Boucher Jones, 81, of Tampa died suddenly on Saturday, June 14th. She was born to John and Frances (Sargent) Boucher, and was raised in Nassau, Bahamas. After graduating from Florida State University, she moved to Tampa and married Phillip H. Jones, Sept 1, 1950. She taught in the Hillsborough County Public School system for 37 years, at Cleveland and River Hills Elementary and was a founding member of St. Clement's Episcopal Church, Tampa. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Jones of Germantown, MD; her son, Charles Jones of Tampa; her grandson, Christopher Jones of Tampa; her sister, Marjorie Esselen of Redwing, Minn; and 11 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place 11 AM Thursday, June 19th at St. Clement's Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Clement's Episcopal Church, 706 W. 113th Ave, Tampa, FL 33612.
