Joey A. Thacker, 60, of Zephyrhills, passed away on June 25, 2020 peacefully in his sleep. He was born to parents William D. Thacker and Mary L. Waggoner, on January 24th 1960, in Ironton, Ohio. He was a dedicated and hardworking man throughout his entire life, he worked for Hunsberger plumbing for over 20 years and grew to become the Vice President. He loved his family and friends more than he loved himself and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his son, his brothers and sisters as well as many nieces and nephews. Joey was known for his love of sports, work ethic and spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving and caring father, an admirer of his family and always saw the best in people.

The celebration of life ceremony will be held on June, 25th 2021 at 5:30pm, located at MacDonald Funeral Home. Attire is business casual. Please come and tell stories about him. Please also keep in mind COVID and social distancing for everyone's safety.

A Fallen Limb

A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I am counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don't worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes that we are together again."
