John T. Moore II, 63, of Tampa (Northdale), passed away on October 6, 2012 following a long and courageous battle with lung disease. He was born in Arlington Virginia on July 31, 1949 to the late George and Gertrude Moore, both from Arlington Virginia.

John grew up in Arlington where he began a long-standing career in music that spanned over 25 years, both in Virginia and in Florida.He also was a general contractor, specializing in aluminum construction.

John is survived by his companion of 34 years, Betty Louise Shanahan, and her daughter Melissa Gray, his sister Mary Perry, and his two nephews John and Tony Pollard.He was predeceased by this sister Shirley Costello.

A memorial celebration of John's life will be held between 1 and 4 pm on November 17 at the home of Louise Shanahan.
