John L. Warner, 71, of Tampa passed away Sunday January 19, 2014. He was born on the Eastern Shore of Maryland where he grew up. He joined the Navy and was honorably discharged. After studying aircraft mechanics in the service John took a position with Delta Airlines where he worked for nearly 30 years before retiring as a Work Center Foreman in 1994. He was an avid NASCAR fan and go-Karting enthusiast. He raced go-karts with both his daughter and most recently his grandson. His hobbies included racing, gardening, and fishing. John leaves behind his wife, Diane; daughter, Laurie; grandson, Cole; son-in-law, Ken, sister, Edith; brother-in-law, Larry; 1 niece and 3 nephews. He will be greatly missed. A celebration of his life will be held, Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1:00 PM at Rick's On The River, 2305 N. Willow Ave., Tampa, FL, 33607.
