Mr. Jose "Richie" Mendoza, 66, of Lutz, Florida passed away July 7, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico and moved locally in 1991 coming from Newark, N.J. He worked for the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa in the housekeeping department and he was a Christian. Mr Mendoza is survived by his wife, Maria Mendoza; son, Richard Mendoza; daughter, Lisa Marie Mendoza; four grandchildren, Richard, Jr., Anthony Jr., Amber and Isiah, all from Florida. The family will receive friends Thursday July 12th from 1-7 PM at MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N. Florida Ave followed by a service at 7 PM. Further services with full military honors will take place 11 AM Friday at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
