IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jose Antonio
"Tony" Beltran
September 2, 2019
Jose Antonio (Tony) Beltran - 60yrs old from Tampa, passed away on September 2nd, 2019.
He was pre-deceased by his father, Florentino Beltran and is survived by his son Jose L. Beltran, his mother, Adelaida Perez and 8 siblings: Norma, Yolanda (Yoly), Carmen, David, Ruben, Roberto (Bobby), Mildred and Noel along with many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
"Tony" was born in Chicago, ILbut lived most of his life in his native country of Puerto Rico which he LOVED!
At work he was known for his strong work ethic and spent the last 24yrs working for New York Life Insurance Company in the IT Department, where he retired from in July.
He was known for being a really funny and loving guy. He was passionate about music, playing his guitar, cooking, hanging out with family and friends, loved sports, outdoor activities, and traveling. But most importantly HE LOOOOOOVED HIS MORNING COFFEE!!! He could NOT function without it.
Some of his hobbies included home improvement projects (even though everyone was afraid of times when he picked up a tool and asked what needed to be fixed), collecting tools & more tools, guns, cook books, kitchen equipment, and Salsa music (the classics, the good stuff). He also enjoyed a good meal with good company at home where he would cook or loved to go out to a good restaurant. A meal with Tony was always an enjoyable and well spent time.
He used to make everyone laugh and all who knew him remembered him for always greeting them with a warm hug and a friendly smile. He was a GREAT GIVER of gifts. All the kids knew a gift from "Uncle Tony" was always a good gift. He was thoughtful and generous with his giving. He dreamed someday of opening up his own restaurant or owning a Latin Cuisine food truck.
He had a tender love for cats, especially his beloved white cat 'Misu' whom he had for 15yrs; she attacked EVERYONE - he thought it was really funny!
Tony will be remembered for his laughter, his sincerity, honesty, loyalty, his devotion to his family (especially mother), the love he had for his only son, his passion for music, his guitar playing skills, his amazing food and his sense of humor.
He was very loved and will be extremely missed by ALL who knew him.
