Joseph Winton Arnold, Jr. of Tampa, Florida passed away Thursday, March, 16, 2017. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and truefriend to all that knew him.
He is survived by Peggy K Arnold, his wife of 61 years. He was a life-long resident of Tampa, FL with the exception of 5 years that he and Peggy lived in Clayton, GA.
Winton was a vetern of the Korean War. While serving in the US Navy, his assignments included the USS Marshall (DD-676) and the USS Uhlmann (DD-687). He also served on the Far East Command Honor Guard.
After his career in the United States Navy, Winton worked in the Automotive Industry for over 42 years forging hundreds of friendships and wasloved by all. His witty personality was infectious and you never saw him without a smile on his face.
He was the beloved father of 5 children; Joseph W Arnold, III and his wife Stephanie of Tampa,Timothy D Arnold and his wife Janet of Tampa,David A Arnold and his wife Carrie of Tampa, Rebecca DeGennaro of Clayton, GA, and Rachel J Holt and her husband David of Land O Lakes.
Winton is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, as well as other relatives in Florida and Tennessee.
The family will receive visitors on Tuesday March 21, 2017 from 6pm - 8pm at MacDonald Funeral Home 10520 North Florida Avenue, Tampa, FL 33612. Graveside services will be held with full military honors on Wednesday March 22, 2017 at 1 pm at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
