Joseph Thomas "Tommy" Maldona, 52, of Tampa, FL passed away November 12, 2014. He was born in Freeport, NY and moved to Tampa coming from Freeport, Long Island NY in 1998. He was self-employed and of the Catholic faith. His achievements were to better himself in everything he did in life. He is survived by his older sister Rhea Robinson; brother in law Melvin Robinson; nephew Eric T. Robinson; niece Stephanie Rivera and her husband Anthony Rivera all of Tampa, FL; niece Aingelina Nunn of Indian Harbor Beach, FL; a great grandniece Erica Jazlyn Robinson of Tampa,FL; and three half siblings Joey Badell, Ramsey Badell and Jeanette Badell all of Texas; and nephew in law Aaron Gottlieb of Tampa, FL. He also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves his girl friend of 15 yrs Maricela Rochet who was his love of his life. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Joseph Maldona, mother Alice Kakareko and brother David Alexander Maldona. Tommy had too many best friends to list but they all know who they are and were not just friends but "BROTHERS" in his heart in N.Y. and FL. Tommy also loved sports including the New York Yankees, Mets, Giants, Jets, Nets, Knicks, Rangers and Islanders all in his NY state of mind. Tommy enjoyed the holidays and loved to cook his famous baked ziti for family and friends (which was the best). God had just received another angel who will watch over his family and friends. Tommy will be missed but never forgotten in our eyes and hearts. R.I.P. Tommy we all love you. A memorial service will take place 3:00 PM Saturday, Nov 22nd at MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N. Florida Ave, Tampa.
