Joseph Henry Roque, 65, of Tampa passed away April 23, 2013. Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, he was a loving husband and father who cared deeply for them and his country. Joseph proudly served with the US Army during the VietNam war where he was wounded in battle. After returning from VietNam, he spent five years at Fort Story, Virginia in Special Forces 173rd, The Heard. Joseph was awarded medals which include, 2 purple hearts, national defense medal, VietNam service medal, army commendation medal, public of VietNam campaign medal, marksman medal badge W-60 device, and sharp shooter medal badge 45 pistol. Joseph is survived by his wife of 27 years, Wanda June Anderson Roque and his children, Lydia Anna Marie Roque and Joseph Emilio Roque, all of South Tampa. Dear Joseph, My heart is broken but will be made whole again when we meet in Heaven. I love you baby, Wanda. We Love you Dad. Your loving children, Lydia and Joey, (pups) Jake and Shadow. A Graveside Service with military honors will take place, 1:30 PM, Friday, May 24, 2013 at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
