Joy K. Evans, of Tampa passed away February 9, 2013.Whether she was called Joy, mom or Grandma Joy, Joy Evans influenced the lives of thousands over her 86 years on this earth.Born Joy Huffman, in 1926, she went on to bring rich and interesting lives to the two husbands and families with which she was blessed:
Emerson Kinzel (married 1946 – 1973) was the father of her eight children: Bonnie, David, Becky, Joyce, Tim, Tom, Jean and Jill
and JD Evans (married 1983 – 2013) the father of her three step-children: Jeff, Judy and Jim, and the grandpa to their 28 grandchildren and 30+ great grandchildren.
Grandma Joy, the name she loved and was called most often, enjoyed working in her flowers, traveling, mothering and watching her family grow.Although she will be missed, we know she is at rest.
A memorial service will be held at the Temple Terrace church of Christ building at 8001 Temple Terrace Highway on Friday, February 15th at 3:00pm.
