June Beem Reynolds born 1922, peacefully departed her earthly home January 31, 2018 to reach heaven.
June is survived by two sons; John McEniry and Terrance J McEniry, brother; Jean Beem, Niece; Donna (Hayward) Simmons and Nephew; Michael Beem and an extended family.
June's grandfather developed the land around Lake Ellen into a beach. At 3 years old June learned to swim and became a life guard as a teen and swam competitively for Hillsborough High. She started swimming competively again in middle age after being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. She swam through the United States Masters program all over the world for 30 years. She set five national records including 100 yard butterfly, 200 yard individual medley and the 100 yard breaststroke before retiring in 2011 at 89 years old. She proudly displayed cases of trophies, ribbons and medals for her accomplishments in swim meets .
June loved the Lord and the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She was actively volunteering as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector and on the Ladies Guild.
Her family wants to thank the staff at John Knox Village Med Center, Fletcher Ave, Tampa for the care and love she received while residing there, and thanks to her devoted friends for caring for her.
On Saturday, February 24th, 10 AM , A mass to honor her life will be held at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 10110 N Central Ave., Tampa, Fl. 33612 and followed by Holy blessings and a dove release at Lake Carroll Cemetery.
The family requests Donations to Most Holy Redeemer Church in lieu of flowers.
