Justina Toledo, 66, of Lutz, Florida passed away on Monday January 7, 2013 at Florida Hospital in Tampa, FL after battling a lengthy illness. Justina was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on September 15, 1946 to Justa Rivera and the late Marcos Toledo. Justina grew up and was a school teacher in Arecibo before moving to the United States.
Known to friends as "Doris" she loved going to the beach and was very actively involved in the Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, Land O' Lakes, Florida where she taught catechism and attended mass weekly. She is survived by her mother, Justa Rivera; daughter, Christina Jennex (Joseph); son, MarcJohnson; grandson, Aaron Barker; siblings, Sonia Toledo & Marcos Toledo; niece, Frances Jorge.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 9thfrom 6-8 pm at MacDonald Funeral Home 10520 North Florida Avenue, Tampa. A Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Thursday January 10, 2013 at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Tampa.
