On the morning of August 18, 2020, Kathleen Dorman of Tampa died at the age of 69. Kathi was born to Eileen and Johnny in 1950. her childhood was spent in Plant City and she remained in Central Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida in 1972 and was a Hillsborough County elementary school teacher for 30 years. In April 1979, she married john Dorman and they raised one son, Brian.

Kathi had a youthful spirit for her entire life and had a unique love of Christmastime. As a child and young adult, she had a driving spirit and great resiliency never letting her physical disabilities hold her back. Teaching was a passion and Kathi spent endless hours building the perfect bulletin board or decorating for even the most minor of holidays. She had a strong attachment to family and built relationships with friends that lasted for decades. Wherever she was, she was always ready to make a friend. Later in life, British mystery shows were a pastime when on the couch and board games were always a favorite with friends.

Kathi is survived by her husband John; her brother Tim; and her son Brian. Due to difficulties surrounding the current pandemic, the memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined in the future.
