Kathy Renee Babareka, 51, of Wesley Chapel Florida, passed away on Monday, August 24th after a short battle with amyloidosis.

Kathy was born in Warrensville Heights, Ohio on September 16, 1968. She graduated from Solon High School in 1986 and earned her Nail Technician License, her niece was her favorite practice subject.

Kathy's trusted companion of many years was Walter Johnson. They lived together in Wesley Chapel with their dog Gigi where they enjoyed dinner club, bicycling, the beach, and riding around in the sunshine in her Mercedes convertible.

Kathy owned her own nail salon, Katz Klaws in New Tampa, where she enjoyed all of her clients and the other salon owners. Previous to moving to Florida, she owned a salon of the same name in Ohio. She was also employed by several salons and spas and cared very much for her coworkers, most of whom she remained in contact with.

Kathy loved the Florida life and connecting with people. She was also a true lover of purses, a great cocktail, and good friends. Many of her friends have described her as kind, sweet, funny, hardworking, driven, and as having a heart of gold. She touched the hearts of everyone she knew.

Kathy is survived by her parents Claudia Babareka and Dolores (Roger) McPherson. Sisters; Susan (William) Kruis, Karen (David) Munson, Linda (James) George. Brothers; Dennis Babareka and John (Bonnie) Kozlik. Nieces and nephews; Cristy (Denney) Sherman, Meghan (Lee) Berger, Scott Piro, Eric George, Amy (Arthur) Wilke, and David (Lacey) George. Great nieces and nephew; Ashley Dvorak, Samantha Cavanaugh, and Alex (Paige) Dvorak.

Kathy is preceded in death by her loving father George Babareka, her brother James Kozlik, and her nephew Phillip Kruis.
