Keith Russell "Cowboy" Carlton, age 59, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, departed from this life December 23, 2016 from an extended illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. Keith was born in Tampa and raised in Lutz, at the time of his passing, he lived in Temple Terrace. He was a good Christian and a member of Wellspring Community Church in Ruskin. He was the son of George Oliver Carlton and Betty Carol Carlton who preceded him in death. Keith loved camping, the outdoor life and more than anything, spoiling his grandchildren. Family meant everything to him. He is survived by his wife, Beverly June Carlton; daughters, Jessica Carlton Smith & her husband Cory Smith of Tampa; daughter, Megan Carlton of Plant City; step daughter, Kira McLoud of Winter Haven; and step sons James Davis of Tampa and Brian McLoud & his wife Mary McLoud of Plant City. Keith was blessed by 12 beautiful grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, George Oliver Carlton, Jr.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 30, 2016 from 5-8 pm with a funeral beginning at 6 pm in the chapel of MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N. Florida Ave, Tampa.



In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions to the Lopez Exceptional Center, 315 W. Old Hillsborough Avenue, Seffner, FL 33584.
