Kelvin Ferreira Paponette, 67, of Tampa passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013. He was born in Arima, Trinidad and Tobago. Kelvin emigrated to the United States in 1971 where he lived in Washington, DC before moving to St. Croix, US Virgin Islands and finally to Tampa, Florida where he worked at Golden Triangle and Kmart before retiring. Kelvin is one of ten children born to Evelyn Paulina Ferreira Paponette and Theodore Boysie Paponette. He is survived by his son, Nigel Paponette; sisters, Lynnyow Lezama, Anne Rose, Dr. Elena Ramessar and Debra Jagasar; brothers, John Ferreira, Trevor Paponette and Dave Paponette; Sisters in law; Carol Ferreira, Linda Paponette and Jenna Paponette; brothers in law, Hilton Lezama and Dr. John Ramessar many nieces, nephews and cousins. Kelvin also leaves behind special friends, Marjorie Highsmith, Notosha Rodriguez and son Elijah, Lennox and Marie Dick, Tony, and a host of additional family and friends.
