LaVonda Jones, 65, passed from this life on January 25th 2022. A lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida, she is survived by her husband, Jerry Jones. Her four children Larry Holt, Justin Holt, Jonathan Jones, and Jeremy Jones. As well as her Daughter-in-law, Bonnie Holt and grandchildren, Lawrence and Hannah Holt.

LaVonda was born on October 23rd, 1956 to Herman and Julia Langford. She graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1974 and worked as an X-ray/MRI tech for many years at Tower Diagnostic. In later years, she found her true calling working in the Library at Florida College Academy. She married Jerry Jones in 1989 and they shared 32 wonderful years together.

LaVonda was a devoted mother and loved her family dearly. She loved spending quality time with her four boys. She enjoyed working in the school library so she could be with the kids when school let out. She had an infectious smile and contagious laugh. She loved to tell stories of her childhood, workplace pranks, or conversations with students in the library. She volunteered with Boy Scout troop 120 for two decades, even after her own children had aged out. She helped all four of her children achieve the rank of Eagle Scout as well as many others.

LaVonda was an active member of the Temple Terrace Church of Christ for 19 years. She assisted the teachers in the toddler class and in VBS planning. She was a woman of great faith and desired to exemplify Christ in every aspect of her life. Her top priority was to help her family get to heaven. LaVonda's spiritual influence has been felt by countless students, scouts, and fellow church members.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 29th at the Temple Terrace Church of Christ. Visitation will begin at 10am and a memorial service will follow at 11am. The memorial service will be available via livestream at "ttcoc.com".
