IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Louis Robert
(Bob) Frank
March 26, 1956 – March 28, 2025
Louis Robert Frank Jr. (Bob) of Tampa, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the age of 69, after a battle with stage four esophageal cancer.
He was born on March 26, 1956 in Tampa, Florida, to Mary Sue and Louis Robert Frank. Bob grew up in Tampa and graduated from Plant High School, where he made many lifelong friends and became an excellent tennis player. He continued his education at University of Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He was an active member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
On July 31, 1982, Bob and Claudia Cheatwood married, beginning a beautiful life full of love, family and memories. Bob worked for PwC as an IT consultant for 10 years before transitioning to the Recruiting industry and ultimately running his own recruitment company. He later finished his career in Real Estate. Bob was an active member of MerryMakers Club, University Club, Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla, Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club, and Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church. His passion for cooking, hunting, and fishing led to many adventures and fabulous meals from his kitchen, grills and smokers.
Bob loved his family and friends deeply, he was loyal to a fault, and he maintained lifelong connections with friends from all stages of his life. Bob found immense joy in his roles as a devoted husband, loving dad, and proud grandfather. We must also mention his love for "The Boys" — Mason and Dixon — his golden retrievers.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia Cheatwood Frank; his two children L. Robert Frank III (Emily) and Claudeane Frank Daisley (Robby); three grandchildren, George Louis Frank (5), Carson Robert Frank (3) and Reese Claudeane Daisley (1); his two sisters, Minda Frank and Patti Frank Schmitt; and his nephews Justin Schmitt and Kit Corral (wife Holly and their son Tanner).
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the sanctuary at Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the Service.
