Louise (Lucy) Walkney passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Melech Hospice House in Temple Terrace, FL. She was preceded in death by her grandson Michael Menendez. Lucy is survived by her loving husband of 66 yrs, Wyman Walkney; two children, Sharon Menendez of Tampa and Richard Walkney (Lisa) of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, James Menendez (Deann), Tampa, Todd Walkney (Katie), Knoxville, TN and Kim Walkney, Knoxville; 10 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren and one sister, Marcell Dobson. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 pm at MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N Florida Ave, Tampa. A funeral service will take place at 11 AM Tuesday in the chapel at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
