Lucia (Lucy) Junco Tragon, 88, of Tampa, FL loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on August 17, 2018.

Lucy was born in Tampa, FL on August 17, 1930 to Manuel and Dolores Junco and grew up in Ybor City. After graduating from Hillsborough High School, she worked for Joseph C. Spoto DDS for forty plus years.

She married her true love John Tragon Jr. of Altoona, PA on March 20, 1968 and together they raised five children as well as their grandson. They were married for almost 48 years.

In her later years she volunteered alongside her husband at Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay, Inc. a non-profit organization that connects adult volunteers with children to help them succeed in school.

She loved her husband and children passionately. Her second passion to her family was her enjoyment of fishing at Fort Desoto with her husband and spending the day on the beach at Pass-a-Grille with her family.

She is survived by their children Ginger Rodriguez, Clayton James, Denise Jackson, Bill James and Gina Tragon-Wybel; her grandchildren, Kim Fernandez, Christopher Christ, Christoffer James, Justin James, Greg Courson Jr., Dakota Fraser (James), Kyle Fraser (James) and Mia Wybel, 6 great- grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Manuel Junco Jr. and her best friend and loving husband John M. Tragon Jr.

A memorial service will take place at 10:30 AM Tuesday September 4, 2018 at MacDonald Funeral Home. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
