Mr. Manuel Amaral, 81, of Land O' Lakes, Florida, formerly of Naugatuck, Connecticutpassed away Sunday, June 19, 2005 at the Baldomero Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home in Land O' Lakes, FL, after complications of a stroke in 1999. He was born in Bristol, Rhode Island, and was an U.S. Army Veteran who served during WWII. Manuel was Catholic and former member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Naugatuck before locating to Land O' Lakes, Florida in 2000 where he was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Fray) Amaral; step-daughter, Maria T. Voras; two brothers, Joe Amaral of Beverly Hills, Florida and Jack Amaral of Bristol, R.I.; several nieces and nephews in Virginia, Connecticut, Arizona and Massachusetts; A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 25th at St. Francis Catholic Church with inurnmentat St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck, Connecticut.
