Margarita Riera, born Margarita Antonia Balseiro Lopez in Havana, Cuba, died August 15, 2015 at the age of 87. She was the youngest and last surviving of 7 siblings and outlived most of her friends. Ma was a loving, caring woman who helped anyone in need and loved all creatures. She would suffer when the dog killed a lizard playing. Any conversation with her would eventually lead to her mentioning Chino, my dad Hiram Riera, who died in 1988.Their love was a special bond and those that knew them know how exceptional it was. Margarita leaves behind one daughter, Carmen Riera Coton and several nieces and nephews. Carmen would like to thank Aidee Perez for the friendship and companionship, Mom looked forward to visiting with you; Dr. Anthony Duany and his staff for all your support and care; Alain and Maria for your friendship and support; My cousin, Frank Barnet who called Mom every day and came immediately when I called; All our friends for your friendship, support and love; and to my Mother for all the unconditional love and happiness you gave me.
