Maria Vázquez de González-Mas, Our beloved María, passed away to be with our Lord and Savior on July 9, 2011 at 87 years old. She was a resident of Brandon, Fl. She was born in Corozal, Puerto Rico. She enjoyed writing poetry, singing and dancing . She wrote many poems throughout her life and most of them are published in her book ROSE PETALS. She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Arturo González-Mas, and her sisters Aida Morell and Amada Vázquez. Maria was the mother of 7 children: Carmen Forestier, Sonia Quiles, Yolanda Quiles, María L. Quiles, José L. Quiles, Rosa Quiles and Norma Quiles. She was the Grandmother of 13 Grandchildren, and the Great grandmother of 19 Great grandchildren. She was a loving Christian, wife, friend, sister, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. She was loved dearly by all her family and will be missed greatly. A memorial service was held at Grace Baptist Temple in Brandon. Further services will take place in Puerto Rico.
