IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mario
Troncoso
April 3, 1933 – May 25, 2025
Mario Troncoso, loving father, grandfather, son, and husband, passed away at home on May 25, 2025, aged 92. He was born on April 3, 1933 to Mario Federico Troncoso and his wife Carmen Montoto, and grew up in Havana, Cuba, much loved by his parents and doting aunt, Maria Teresa Montoto. He graduated from the Colegio Marista, and earned a degree in architecture from the University of Havana.
Mario married Ana Josefa Navarro, also an architect, in 1956. They had seven children. Forced by the Cuban revolution to leave his homeland, he emigrated with his family to the United States, where he became a U.S. citizen. Both he and his wife practiced architecture in Puerto Rico, Ohio, and Florida before retiring to travel throughout the U.S. and abroad.
Mario Troncoso was preceded in death by his parents Mario and Carmen, and aunt Teresa; Ana, his wife of 59 years; and his youngest daughter, Maria Elena Milam. He is survived by his children Ana del Loreto, Carmen Lucia (Manuel), Teresa Bibiana, Victoria de los Angeles, Mario José (Inanç), Luis Rafael (Tacy), ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at MacDonald Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 3rd, at 1:30pm. The family will receive visitors two hours prior, from 11:30am to 1:30pm.
Mario will be interred at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
