Marion (LaPrade) Singletary passed away suddenly Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the age of 74. Loving mother of James (Donna) and Dawn, and the cherished grandmother of Jordan, Sara and Matthew. She is survived by her sister Marlene, her nephews, Donald and Jamie, her niece Sarah and great-nephew, Austin.

Born in 1942 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Marion was a long time resident of Plantation, Florida where she worked as Executive Secretary at ARC of Broward County, and later as the Executive Assistant to the President of WSVN 7 - Sunbeam Television Corporation in Miami.In 2004 she relocated with her family to Tampa, FL, where she last resided.

Marion was an active member of the MacDonald Training Center's Parents Group, which helps to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities by providing support and advocating for the families of MTC attendees, including her daughter Dawn.

Friends may pay respects at MacDonald Funeral Home, 10520 N. Florida Avenue, Tampa, Florida on Saturday, June 3rd, from 3 - 6 p.m. with service starting at 4 p.m.
