Mary Ann (Strava) Berninger, age 76, of Newton, New Jersey and Lutz, Florida, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at HPH-Hospice in New Port Richey with her loving daughter, Linda and her sister, Barbara by her side.Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 21st, at 1:30 pm at Sacred Heart Chapel on 20 Old Swartswood Road, Newton, New Jersey 07860. She graduated from Trenton High School as a part of the class of 1953. She was married on October 2, 1954 and has celebrated over 50 years of marriage. Over the years Mary worked in the fiscal services department for the County of Sussex, Division of Social Services. She spent her life caring for her family.She is survived by her husband, Egon Berninger, her children Egon Berninger of Hawley, Pennsylvania, Linda Shrewsbury of Land O' Lakes, Florida, Donna Hudak of Moyock, North Carolina, and her seven grandchildren; Timothy Berninger, Marisa Berninger, Aaron Berninger, Alexandria Shrewsbury, Christopher Shrewsbury, Kelly Hudak and Jessica Hudak.Rather than flowers, Mary's request is that donations be made to HPH-Hospice.
