IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Margaret
Butkus Esteki
January 22, 2020
On the evening of January 22, 2020, Mary Margaret Butkus Esteki of Tampa went to be with the Lord at the age of 58. She was born at Tampa General hospital to Alexander and Bernice Butkus in 1961, and was the youngest of seven children. She graduated from Tampa Catholic High School in 1980, and soon after met and married Freidoon. Together they raised his son Cameron in Tampa and California. She loved him as if he were her own. Following their divorce, Margaret moved to Tampa and worked for Progressive Insurance two months shy of 30 years. She loved her Progressive family, and often spoke of the wonderful people she worked with, and considered family. Margaret lived in a close-knit neighborhood community, whose love and support meant the world to her. She was a lifelong parishioner at St.Joseph's Catholic Church, and faithfully practiced the Catholic religion. Margaret loved her family, friends, and her ever loving and fiercely protective dog Sienna with her whole heart. She is loved, and will be deeply missed by many. Margaret is preceded in death by her father, Alexander, mother Bernice, brother Marty, brother-in-law Tom, and sister-in-law Barbara. She is survived by her brothers Michael (Diane), and Mark (Marlene), and sisters MaryAnn, and Mary Alice (Barry), as well as many cousins. Her nephews Thomas (Emily), Albert (Lucy), and nieces Jennifer (Ralph), Michelle (Damon), Gina, and Kristin (Scott) who is also her Goddaughter, will sorely miss their Aunt. The extension of Margaret's love went well beyond her siblings, brother/sister-in-laws, cousins, nephews and nieces as she loved all of their children just as much. A Mass for Margaret will be held Saturday, February 1st, at 11am at St.Joseph's Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to her church parish or LifePath Hospice.
