Mrs. Mary Virginia Flannery, 84, of Tampa
passed away July 20, 2006. Mary was a
native of Baltimore, Maryland and had resided
in Tampa since 1960. She was oftheCatholic
faith and member of Most Holy Redeemer Catholic
Church. She retired from Sears & Roebuck after
34 years of service, was a volunteer at Moffitt
CancerCenter, member of Institute of Notre Dame
Alumni and Sears Retiree Club. Mary was preceded
in death by her beloved husband, Francis J. Flannery
and son, William F. Flannery. Survivors include
her children, Mary Carole Lynch & her husband,
Donald F. Lynch, M.D. of Virginia Beach, VA,
Robert C. Flannery of Green Valley, AZ,
Jean E. Long ofTampa, Michael T. Flannery, M.D.
& wife Terri of Wesley Chapel, and a
daughter-in-law, Joyce Flannery of Pisgah, Ala;
grandchildren, Frank Lynch, Sean Lynch,
Kathleen Lynch, Jamison Long, Patrick Flannery,
John Flannery, Brendan Flannery, Kara Flannery &
Kevin Flannery; great grandchildren, Emma Lynch,
Peyton Lynch, Olivia Lynch & Kendall Lynch;
numerous nieces and nephews in Towson, MD.
A funeral Mass will becelebrated 10 am Tuesday at
Most HolyRedeemer Catholic Church.
Private intermentwill follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
The familywill receive friendsMonday, July 24, 2006
from4-6 pm at the chapel of MacDonald Funeral Home,
10520 North Florida Ave., with a rosaryservice
held at 5:30 pm. In lieu of flowers,donations may
be made in memory of Mary to the Francis J. Flannery
Medicine Scholarship Fund, University of South Florida
