Mary Martinez Hardy, 82, of Tampa died December 11th at her home. Mary's surviving sons, Mark DeMeza of Roswell, GA and Gregg DeMeza of San Francisco, CA, were there to comfort her in her final days. She was preceded in death by her son Todd DeMeza, her sister Ida Tamargo and her brother Marty Martinez. She is survived by her grandsons, Kevin and Brian DeMeza, of Roswell, GA and her niece Karen Withee of Tampa, nephews Tony and Dale Martinez of Tampa. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of South Florida, where she also worked for 36 years. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the American Cancer Society or amFAR. A mass will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church on December 18 at 2 pm.
