Mary Perkerson Owen of Temple Terrace passed away on September 10, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Braden Owen and her son, Thomas Braden Owen, Jr.Mary is survived by her devoted family; daughters Susan L. Owen and Mary "Ladye" Daniels (Larry); grandsons Tom Daniels (Kelly) and Mike Daniels; and great grandchildren Kate, Chloe and Blake Daniels. Born and raised in Nashville, Tn., Mary attended Peabody College for Teachers and later worked for American Airlines in New York City. With a move to Tampa in 1956 and then to Temple Terrace in '59, Mary and Tom raised their family while enjoying the Temple Terrace community lifestyle. In the 80's Mary began her real estate career with Century 21 Geiger.While residing in Temple Terrace, Mary served as President of the Temple Terrace Friendship Club and President of the Temple Terrace Women's Golf Association. She achieved a 13 handicap, and was very proud of her hole-in-one on #8. She enjoyed the camaraderie of playing bridge, and she was a true sports fan. The family requests a private burial.
