Mary M. Ruddy, 94, of Tampa passed away March 1, 2006. Mary was an educator at Most Holy Redeemer Inter-Parochial School from 1954 until her retirement in 1999. The media center was dedicated in her memory on April 24, 1990. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Ruddy and parents Mark and Mae Lally.
She is survived by her cousins, Laura and James Murphy, Sr., Bradenton, Nancy Murphy, Bradenton, James and Caroline Murphy, Jr., Colorado, Martha and Richard Unger, Bradenton and Thomas Lally, Rhode Island; and devoted loyal friends, Marsha and Brooks Bashline, Sheila Blount, Fred Coffaro, Beverly DeMeza, Jo Ann Quinn, Carrie Shaheen and her beloved Boxers, that she raised as show dogs. A special thank you to the dedicated friends that visited Mary on a regular basis and cared for her after retirement. The family and friends would like to thank the administration and staff of the Shady Palms Assisted Living Facility for the devoted and loving care given to Mary during her residency. We also want to thank the Teal Team of LifePath Hospice, especially Elaine, for her kindness and assistance during the remaining days of Mary's joy filled life.
A visitation will take place Saturday, March 4th at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church from 11AM-Noon. A funeral Mass will follow at noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mary to her beloved Most Holy Redeemer Inter-Parochial School, 302 E. Linebaugh Ave, Tampa FL 33612, Attn: Fred Coffaro, Principal.
