She attended Corsica Union High school where she met Robert Lee "Bob" Campbell, of the neighboring village of Summerville. They were married on August 7, 1943. Bob preceded her in death on August 3, 1999. She is survived by five children and their spouses: Robert Lee Campbell, Jr. (Eleanor), of Riverdale, GA; Steven E. Campbell (Jacquie), of Oxford, AL, Malea Rae Mobley (Ron) of Seffner, FL, Melinda Lane Nicks (Charles), of DeLand, FL and Melissa Ann Leggatt (Richard), of Temple Terrace, FL; daughter-in-law, Patsy Campbell of Anniston, AL; Grandchildren, Kevin Campbell, Keith (Angela) Campbell, Kipp (Hollie) Campbell, Corey (Carolina) Campbell, Heather (Chad) Baker and Casey (Jessica) Campbell, Tamara (Chris) Williams, Josh Mobley, MariAnn (Steve) Almeda, April Nicks, Holly (Nathan) Caldwell, Jessy (Scott) Shropshire, and Taylor (Logan) Leggatt; and 33 Great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Campbell retired as the head of Cardiology Diagnostics at the former Centro Asturiano Hospital and also had been employed at Tampa General Hospital in the EKG Department. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Temple Terrace Church of Christ, where she was affectionately known by the preschool children as "The Candy Lady". Her passions were hand quilting, crocheting, and her grandchildren. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Melech Hospice House, 11125 N. 52nd. St., Temple Terrace, FL 33617, or to a favorite charity.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm. on Tuesday, May 2nd, at the MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm. The interment service will be private.
